Since making this film, wildfires have broken out across the province of Quebec here in Canada. Smoke, soot, and smog fill the air nearly every day. The climate crisis has moved beyond our phone screens. We are actively witnessing its impacts and yet still the urgency of our situation is being ignored. Time is running out. Our next steps decide everything. Thank you to the Nikon Photo Contest for hosting the work of so many artists. I appreciate Nikon for giving people like myself a platform to share.
