I am a part time English teacher, photographer, and subway musician residing in Rio de Janeiro. Any chance I get I am outside shooting what I love about the city. The surf was really tough so nobody was out in the water off Ipanema beach the afternoon I shot this. The masses were all grouped off into gangs of 2 to 6 soccer ball jugglers, playing a classic game of Altinho, a game in which the only objective is to see how long those playing can keep the ball from hitting the sand or water. So as far my eye could see there were soccer balls spouting like popcorn. The point and shoot burst mode gave me a surprise moment of synchronization.
