Fall is the season of harvesting. The tall green bamboos can be cut into strips for creating various crafts. They are dried, disinfected, then made into chopsticks to become a part of people’s everyday lives and bring joy to them.

I have been taking pictures for close to 40 years and have used three Nikon cameras since the year 2000. I am truly honored to receive an award at this year's Nikon Photo Contest for my picture ‘Harvesting Season’, taken with the D810 last year. Firstly, I would like to thank the contest organizing committee and the seasoned judges from around the world for their evaluation of ‘Harvesting Season’. I’d also like to thank Nikon for the wonderful D810. I took ‘Harvesting Season’ with the D810 last autumn. The bamboo ripens in autumn to become a raw material for handicrafts, being made into beautiful piles in the process. The farmer pulling the bamboo strips is akin to an elegant harp performance. Can’t you hear the sounds of autumn from the clear sky?
