WINNERS' INTERVIEW

ー　What made you decide to enter the Nikon Photo Contest?

I've always wanted to make independent films that tell stories about people and their experiences in life - inspiring ones, surreal ones, sometimes even tragic ones - and show how they deal with the challenges of today. Everyone has a story, and I want to capture these through my camera lens, especially with my Nikon.

ー　Do you have any episodes to share related to creating your award-winning Nikon Photo Contest work (photo or film)?

The whole process took about two weeks - editing the script, filming, working on the sound and video - not counting all the prep work and finding the right location. It was very fulfilling when we finally wrapped with the crew.

ー　Tell us about your recent activities. Have there been any changes in your career and/or other aspects of your life since winning your Nikon Photo Contest award?

I'm planning a new short film about modern society and technological advances. It's going to be a bigger production, and I’m really excited about this new project. I'd like to finish it before the 2024-2025 Nikon Film and Photo Contest deadline.

ー　What does shooting photos or films mean to you?

Since I got my first camera, taking photos and making films has been my passion. To me, it's an art form filled with stories, colors, and music that we have a chance to share with the world.

ー　What’s your message to people considering entering the Nikon Film and Photo Contest?

Take time to capture a unique story - they're all around us if you just look closely. Feel it. Listen to it. Make it about more than winning - create something that brings a lifetime of joy, experience, and memories.
