“Even if things do not go as desired, there is hope.” This sentiment comes from my favorite film director. I have been performing as an actor for over 10 years. Honestly, things hardly ever go my way. But still, there is hope. Or rather, I have spent my life reminding myself there should be hope and forcing myself to see an overcast sky as clear and blue. This work was my hope. To receive this prize, I have finally been shown the real blue sky. I would like to share the joy of winning this prize with my collaborators. And in closing, I would like to express my gratitude toward all the people involved in the NIKON PHOTO CONTEST 2014-2015 and to all the people who watched my movie. Thank you. Momio Yamamura
The movie was taken in the rain. Although it wasn't planned that way, I think it had a positive effect on the lasting impression of the scenery. I was not quite willing to digitally apply colors to the scenes, so I took an analog approach to making the overcast sky look blue. I think this trick worked well.
