Natural disasters are continuously portrayed within the limitations of their tragedy. Stories on pain, destruction and helplessness of the local people shadows most recognition of their inner human perseverance and strength that, time and again, rises beyond any piece of rubble or debris. That's what drew me to pursue this story and continue on into other natural disaster zones - in spite of the damage and cruelty they inflict, it is the core beauty of human resilience and determination that leaves me in awe.
